A PROFILE OF SPORT

Football has existed since 1963, but its origins are more than 2000 years old. It started in UK, but now there are clubs around the world. It is one of the most popular sports in the world.
The most important football competition is the World Championship, which started in 1930. Women have competed in the championship since 1956.
One of my favorite player is Lionel Messi. Messi won the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE in 2006. He's the second best player in 2008 of the world.

We are the champions

This week in our We are the champions section we interview Daniel Alves, a football player.

How long have you played football?
I play football since I was five years. In 2001 I made debut with the EC Bahía one year later I register to the Sevilla Football Club. I stay in Sevilla for 7 years, and now I stay in Barcelona.
And how often do you practise?
We have training every day and Saturday or Sunday have the match. Sometimes the match is on Tuesday or Wednesday. In this case these match are of the Champions League.
Who is the best player you've ever played against?
The best player is Ronaldinho. The beast player of 2005

Lionel Messi

Leo Messi was born in 24th of June 1987 in Santa Fé (Argentina). When he was young he startef play football. When he was thirteen years old he signs with the Barcelona.
Messi plays her first match in 2004. Today is the second best football player in the world.

MARC-->Have you ever been to the camp Nou, Franc?
FRANC->No, what's that about?
MARC-->Well, Barça and other teams play football every week.
FRANC->I already know that. What else happens?
MARC-->Well, there are always lots of people and it's very exciting.
FRANC->When's it on?
MARC-->It's this Saturday at ten o'clock. Do you fancy going?
FRANC->OK, that sounds good. Where's the best match to see?
MARC-->The derbi Barça-Madrid is OK. Let's meet at home at six o'clock.

ASKING FOR A PERMISION TO GO TO THE EVENT

Franc--> Dad, can I go to Camp Nou to watch Barça-Madrid with Marc?
Dad ---> Yeah, sure
Franc--> Cool- Oh, and the can i go to sleep in Marc's house?
Dad ---> No, you can't.
Franc--> Why not?
Dad --->Because it's Sunday night, ans you've got school tomorrow.
Franc-->Ok. one more thing, can i borrow some money?
Dad --->Yeah, Ok. I'll lend you 50€. But I'll only lend you the mony if you promise to lower the garbage
